CASA Academy Refresher
Our next CASA Academy Pre-Service Training will begin on April 16! We are looking forward to training our newest group of CASA volunteers, and would like to offer the opportunity for current volunteers to access the training content for a refresher. Dairy Arts Center: Free Tickets to HOLLY ALASKA Available

Queen Sized Bed Frame Available
BVFC has received a queen sized bed frame from a donor. This item is available for pick up on a first come, first serve basis. Please contact Jenny Cassin at jenny@bouldervfc.org to claim this item for your appointed child.
City of Boulder Double Up Food Bucks Home Delivery Program
Boulder County Public Health recently launched a new home delivery Double Up pilot where City of Boulder SNAP recipients who are either older adults, single parents, living with a disability, or have a transportation barrier can get $40 worth of produce delivered for free for only $20 EBT. Please note, this program is only available to SNAP participants who reside in the City of Boulder.

Qualified homeowners are eligible for assistance of up to $30,000 through the Community Economic Defense Project.

Individualized Education Program Help
Does the youth you advocate for have an IEP or 504 plan, or do they need additional services and support in school? Longtime CASA Volunteer and former Speech Language Pathologist and Special Education Coordinator, Georgia Magnera, has significant experience in this field and is willing to answer questions and provide support to CASAs as they advocate around the educational needs of the youth they serve. If you have questions or are looking for guidance around educational advocacy, please contact Jenny Cassin at jenny@bouldervfc.org.

Reminders
Transporting Kids -
If you are or plan to your appointed kids, we need to collect a photocopy of your valid driver's license and current auto insurance. Please reach out to your Advocate Supervisor if there are any changes to your license/insurance.
CEU Reminder -
As a CASA you are required to complete 12 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) per calendar year, starting 12 months after your initial CASA training. Additionally, you are required to complete 1 hour related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). You can find a list of suggested CEU’s under the Continuing Education tab. To get credit for an activity simply notify your staff supervisor.
Contact Logs -
Just a friendly reminder to stay on top of your contact logs in Optima. Your supervisor can provide you with real-time support and resources with more information.

Continuing Education
Boulder Voices for Children requires volunteers to complete 12 hours of continuing education each year. Continuing education credits can be completed through a combination of resources, including movies, T.V. shows, podcasts, books, and more. Click here to access these resources.
